On 4th September, @ 15.00 hours, somebobdy surfed in from Tirana, capital of Albania in the Balkans!

On 6th September, @ 11.09 hours, somebobdy surfed in from Heraklion, Iraklion, Greece in the Mediterranean!

On 10th September, @ 15.00 hours, somebobdy surfed in from Caracas, capital of Venezuela in South America!

Peru succumbs to the Forest of Dean model railway charms?

This time its from Lima in peru on 15th July after entering a search for Forest of Dean.

Thanks to Statcounter.com we know that the surfer uses Windows 7 and was on the site for 50 mins and 5 seconds!

So, where is Belize?

Flag_of_Belize.svgWell, wherever it is, someone has surfed in from Belize on 20 Jul 2014 @ 18:55:14. Belize is in Central America and is described by Wikipedia as, “a country on the northeastern coast of Central America. It is the only country in the area that has English as its official language; Belizean Creole (Kriol) and Spanish are also commonly spoken. Belize is bordered on the north by Mexico, to the south and west by Guatemala, and to the east by the Caribbean Sea. Its mainland is about 290 km (180 mi) long and 110 km (68 mi) wide”.

Brazillian Surge : A World Cup Tourist?

719px-WC-2014-Brasil.svgIn the last month, we have been visited 19 times by a surfer or surfers in Brazil. Is this a world cup coincidennce?

The surfer(s) have been in the following cities

São Paulo, Brasília, Goiânia, Florianópolis, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, São Bernardo Do Campo, Pindamonhangaba, Paraíso Do Sul and Mossoró!

However, there is no Manaus where  England lost to Italy in their opening game!

Serbian and Argentine Connections

flaggiesA quick look at the website hit counter statistics shows that FoDMRC has attracted a surfer from the Pristina in Serbia!

Two surfers have come in from Mar Del Plata, Buenos Aires and Rosario, Santa Fe in Argentina!

Furthermore, we seem to be very popular at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil at the moment …. are these England supporters seeking solace in model railways as the team prepares to fly home!

A quick Google does come up with a wikipedia entry, “The Brazilian company Indústrias Reunidas Frateschi (known as Frateschi) is a model railroad manufacturer based in Ribeirão Preto, near São Paulo, Brazil. Today Frateschi exports to Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, United States, France, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa, Indonesia, Taiwan, New Zealand and Australia. Frateschi is the only model railroad manufacturer in South America”.
