Posted by fodmrc on 08/01/2014

It has been  confirmed that the club would be represented this year by ‘Rainford Stoops’, and in 2015 by the SM32 at the Bristol AMRCWWE Exhibition.

It was agreed that Awre Junction would be offered for 2016.  It was also suggested that the N Gauge refurbished  layout being built by Dave Armstrong could be offered to the Bristol show as a late replacement if necessary.

The club’s Southern Region N gauge layout, ‘Baynards’ will be at the Monmouth Exhibition in April 2014. The layout has also  been requested for the Thornbury Model Engineers Show for 2015.

Mike Hardy and Daniel Winter will exhibit Rogers Pass and Crooked Lane MPD respectively at the Thornbury Club show in November 2014.

January 2015 sees Trevor Powell’s Rainford Stoops at the Weston-super-Mare show.

Late addition to the Lydney Show

Posted by fodmrc on 24/09/2013

Richard Eason is bringing his Frampton layout. The layout description states, “It’s the 1980’s and its summer. The yard at Frampton serves the nearby inland waterways dock at Sharpness and is connected via a spur onto the nearby Sharpness Branch. The decline of rail traffic to the docks has contributed to the deterioration of the yard at Frampton, however its location is key to its survival”.

Ross-on-Wye Model Rail Show

Posted by fodmrc on 13/07/2013

The first day of the inaugural Ross show took place on the hottest, sunniest day of the year. Consequently, the attendance was quite disappointing.

The club had two layouts presented by club members, Canal End [from the Howleys] and Crooked End MPD [Daniel Winter]. The club’s official presence was a modelling and information table, with a Metcalfe viaduct and a Parkside wagon under construction. Click on thumbnails to enlarge!
